BUFFALO, NY -- Democrat John Flynn will fill the seat for Erie County District Attorney.
It was a close race between Flynn and Republican Joe Treanor.
Flynn says he's fit for the job because unlike his opponent who practiced criminal law in New York State, he has and can handle the task of overseeing the office of close to 100 lawyers.
"You want someone in the District Attorney's office who has the legal experience for the job," said Flynn.
Flynn touted his experience telling reporters at the polling place, "having had a lengthy prosecutorial career ,I just thought this was a natural."
