BUFFALO, N.Y.-- As of Tuesday, the city of Buffalo will be just four weeks away from a big early contest of Decision 2017: the city's mayoral primary.
Three Democrats will go head-to-head in a primary that has traditionally given us the eventual winner of the city's top job.
According to a new Spectrum News-Siena College poll out Monday, the polls give three-term incumbent Mayor Byron Brown a commanding lead over his two challengers; with the support of 51% of likely Democratic voters.
Comptroller Mark Schroeder comes in at 24%, while Erie County Legislative Chair, Betty Jean Grant is at 13%.
The poll also concluded that 78% of those polled believe the city of Buffalo is headed in the right direction.
