For more than 30 years, Ettore Porreca and his partner Ralph Winter operated one Buffalo's finest photography studios. The owner of the exclusive dress shop, Tegler's, was so impressed with these portraits that she hung them in her shop. Years later, as Tegler's closed, Mr. Porreca got all of those portraits back, the trouble was, there were no names on the pictures. Ettore Porreca has turned over nearly 60 portraits taken during the 1950s, '60s and '70s to the Buffalo History Museum in hopes that they might be able to connect the brides with their portraits. The photos will be on display for the Museum's "Something Old, Something New" wedding exhibit on March 3, 2013. For more information on the event, or if you might know one of the brides, you can contact the Buffalo History Museum at 716-873-9644 or on line at www.bechs.org.
