Pegula's Company Sells Land for $1.7B

BUFFALO, NY - An oil and natural gas company named American Energy Partners says it has purchased 75,000 acres of land from East Resources, Inc. and an unnamed private company.

East Resources is the company founded by Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula.

The land includes 27,000 acres in Ohio and 48,000 acres in West Virginia.

American Energy Partners says the deal is worth $1.75 billion and is expected to close within the next 60 days.
