NIAGARA, NY-- A man from Niagara County faces serious charges following a shelter in place that happened Thursday in the Town of Niagara.
State Police say Michael Greaser, 57, had a long gun with him, and threatened to kill his wife and himself at their home in Lewiston.
He's accused of keeping his wife against her will for several hours. She eventually got away and called police. Authorities surrounded the home, but he had already left.
Troopers say he went to his girlfriend's home on Grauer Road in the Town of Niagara, where the shelter in place happened. He surrendered and is now in the Niagara County Jail.
Greaser is charged with felony kidnapping and misdemeanor menacing.
