"Ghost" Actor Being Treated for Pancreatic Cancer

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Patrick Swayze is being treated for pancreatic cancer but he's not on death's door. His physician, Dr. George Fisher, says Swayze has a limited amount of the disease and appears to be responding well to treatment.

Swayze's representative says he's continuing his normal schedule and earlier reports that Swayze had a matter of weeks to live are "absolutely untrue."

Swayze's, who's 55, has a film in the works and a TV movie, according to the web site www.IMDB.com.
