The NHL Winter Classic Game at Ralph Wilson Stadium is just one month away. There's now another way to enjoy the event.

Saturday afternoon the Sabres announced they will open up HSBC Arena on New Years Day, allowing fans to watch the game against the Penguins on their new High Definition Scoreboard while listening to the synched-up radio coverage of Sabres broadcasters Rick Jeanneret and Harry Neale.

The Sabres are calling it a "House Party." The celebration will feature a pre-game scrimmage at 11:30 AM between Sabres Alumni and members of the Buffalo Police and Fire Departments.

Tickets cost $5 and all of the money will go to the Sabres Foundation. You can get them online at www.Sabres.com Fans attending the event will be eligible to win autographed Buffalo Sabres Winter Classic jerseys that will be given away during the game.

In addition, one lucky family will win the ultimate seat upgrade, as they will be whisked away by limousine to watch the Winter Classic live at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
