Family and friends gathered to mourn the sudden death of U.S. Army Pfc. Daniel Shaw. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Orchard Park.
The 23-year-old was killed in an explosion in Iraq. He was in his second tour of duty.

A funeral was also held on the same day for PVT. Dwane Covert Jr. He recently died in a non-combat related explosion in Iraq. The Town of Tonawanda native leaves behind a pregnant wife and two-year-old son.
