BUFFALO, N.Y. -(AP)- Forward Clarke MacArthur was called up from the minors Wednesday to bolster the Buffalo Sabres injury-depleted lineup. The Sabres third-round pick in the 2003 draft, MacArthur is currently leading the American Hockey League with 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 14 games for Rochester. He had seven points in 19 games in his Sabres debut last season.
Buffalo, which hosts Boston on Wednesday, is down two centers after Tim Connolly (strained abdomen) and Adam Mair (sprained right ankle) were both hurt in a 2-0 loss at Montreal on Monday.
