The writer/director of a short film says this is your chance to be seen at the Sundance Film Festival.
Chuck Grady, a Cheektowaga native, is shooting a film scene at the Central Terminal July 14. He is looking for Buffalo residents who want to be extras in the scene.
The short movie, about 35 minutes long, is set in the World War II era. It inovles a pilot who met a woman at a USO dance then meets her again at a train station 60 years later.
"When I was looking for a train station to shoot, (I saw) a story on the Dyngus Day celebration at the (Central Terminal," Grady said. "So I ran down there, and talked to the people who run the place, and we struck a deal."
Grady said the shoot will take place at 9am on Saturday, July 14. Costumes and uniforms will be provided.
Grady said he plans to take the short film to the Sundance Film Festival in hopes of attracting a major movie studio to pick up the story.
Grady said people interested in being an extra for the film should reply to his ad on Craig's List. CLICK HERE for that link.
