City & County Money Sitting in Albany

We know all too well that Buffalo and Erie County are in desperate need of money.

So why then are tens of thousands of dollars which are owed to the city and county just sitting in accounts in Albany, waiting to be claimed.

The state Comptroller's office, lists over 100 accounts with money due to Buffalo and Erie County -- everything from certified checks, rebates, and overpayment for utility bills.
