Lancaster Man Hits "Win For Life" Jackpot

BUFFALO, N.Y.- The biggest check of Jerry Kajfasz's life was the result of a mistake.

Kajfasz, 53, of Lancaster received a 10 million dollar check from the New York state lottery after winning the top prize on a "Win For Life" scratch off.

When Kajfasz bought the winning ticket last month at the One Stop shop on Broadway in Depew, he wound up getting a different ticket than what he asked for.

"But then I said give me that ticket that he almost gave me by accident. It was just another five dollar ticket and there it was, it was a winner! It was amazing," said Kajfasz.

As for what he plans to do with the money, Kajfasz says he and his wife will use the money to take care of his family, which includes taking his mother on a special vacation to visit family in Poland.
