WNY Native Killed in Arizona Plane Crash

MESA, ARIZONA -- The pilot in a deadly plane crash on an Arizona golf course Monday was a Western New York native.

53-year-old Alan Ram was a Williamsville North graduate and Marine veteran, according to information on his Linkedin page and company website.

Federal investigators are still looking into why his plane went down near an airport in Mesa Monday evening

They say he reported mechanical problems in the small single-engine plane just before the crash. His passenger, 22-year-old Krista Buchanan, also died.
