LANCASTER, N.Y. -- A bonfire at Lancaster High School to celebrate homecoming got a little hotter than expected.

A viewer sent us video of this bonfire's massive "pop."

The Lancaster Central School District communications director, Pat Burgio, said nobody was hurt and the bonfire is part of the homecoming routine.

She added more than 45 firefighters were on the scene and they monitored the fire after the pop, continuing to let it crackle and burn.
