Two new dogs arrive at Pups at the Pen program

ALDEN, NY - ALDEN, NY-Inmates at the Erie County Correctional Facility welcomed two new dogs to their digs earlier this week through the Pups at the Pen program.

Gaston, an 18-month-old retriever mix, and Dino, a four-year-old terrier mix, will spend four to eight weeks with the inmates where they will be socialized and trained. At the end of the training, both pups will be available for adoption through the Erie County SPCA.

Since the Erie County Sheriff's Office and the SPCA began their partnership with the Pups at the Pen program, eight dogs have graduated and have been adopted into new homes.
