BUFFALO, N.Y. -- University at Buffalo's South Campus completely lost power Sunday night for more than an hour, according to a campus emergency alert.
The alert was sent at about 8 p.m.
At about 8:40 p.m., John DellaContrada, University at Buffalo Associate Vice Provost for Media Relations and Stakeholder Communications, says power seemed to be coming back on.
It was completely restored later Sunday night.
A NYSEG spokesperson said they are unsure of the exact outage cause, but they believe it was an internal issue at the UB campus.
Around 10 p.m. Sunday, UB's facilities department was working to determine the outage cause.
University officials say the Abbott Health Sciences Library will reopen and resume its normal hours at 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Students and employees returning to campus Monday are asked to check their computers and electronic equipment and report any technical issues they may have experienced due to the power outage with a university unit or department.
