BUFFALO, N.Y. - The computers for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles went down around 11 a.m. Monday.
According to a spokesperson for Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul, a message went out around 11 a.m. that the system was experiencing problems.
Any transaction requiring inputting a social security number can not be completed. However, some things, such as taking permit tests, can still be done.
