(wgrz.com) Western New York will again have some area athletes competing for spots on the U.S. Olympic team for the Winter Games in Vancouver in February of 2010, and one of them is 20-year old Orchard Park native Hans Gardner.
You'll see the Winter Olympics on Ch2/NBC.
Gardner is an Olympic alternate right now, and is in Utah for more training with the U.S. Olympic team in aerial acrobatics. Gardner finished 5th in the U.S. Freestyle Championships in Utah last March, and he stopped by our Ch2 studios to talk with Ch2 Sports Director Ed Kilgore about what's ahead in his dream to be an Olympian:
