In an unusual twist, Niagara Falls police say they have the man they believe responsible for robbing an elderly woman and throwing her to the ground. What they don't have is the elderly woman.
Several good samaritans spotted the crime in progress shortly before 2 PM in the Walgreen's parking lot on Pine Avenue. The three men held the suspect until police arrived; but the woman got back in her car and left without waiting to file a report.
Detectives are asking the victim to come forward so charges can be filed against the man, who admitted to police that he encountered the woman in the parking lot.
