A 17-year-old is dead and Lockport Police say it may have been the result of a drug deal gone bad.

Adam Mottorn, a student at Lockport High School,  was struck by a hit and run vehicle around four o'clock Tuesday on Porter Street in the city.

Another teen, 17-year-old Anthony Cescon, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident where a person injured dies, a felony.  Wednesday afternoon, a judge granted $25,000 bail.  The case is scheduled to be back in court on December 2nd.  The police investigation is still underway, and more charges are expected.

Information from Mottorn's cell phone led police to Cescon.

Witnesses say a green Chevy S-10 pickup was stopped at the curb when the driver accelerated towards the victim as he was crossing the street. The truck was last seen heading down Porter to Mill Street, on to Clinton Street and then out of the area.

The teen was rushed to ECMC where he died a short time later.

A close family friend of Mottorn's disputed that he was involved in any kind of drug acitivity when she spoke to Channel 2 News Ron Plants Wednesday morning.
