Lockport Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident Tuesday.
Investigators say they received a 911 call reporting the accident. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male unconscious in the street.
The victim was taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight, where he later died.
Police say they're looking into whether this accident was intentional. Witnesses tell police they saw the vehicle accelerate towards the victim as he crossed the street. They say the driver never attempted to stop and fled down Olcott Street to Mill Street.
Police are looking for a green, Chevy S-10 with left, front driver's side damage. They believe the vehicle was driven by a white male in his late teens, early 20's with possibly short, dark hair.
