Buffalo Police arrested Steven Cavarello, 30 of Lackawanna on Tuesday in connection to the accident on South Park Avenue that happened on September 17th.
Cavarello is charged with second degree vehicular assault, possession of a controlled substance and driving while under the influence of drugs. Police say he hit 30 year old Sarah Gregory of Amherst, and pinned her against a minivan. She ended up losing her leg.
He plead not guilty to the charges in Buffalo City Court on Wednesday morning, with bail posted at $100,000.
Cavarello is due back in court next week.
