The Eisenhardt family in Machias, NY has a huge task. They have two children with a very rare illness. Now the community is stepping up to help by building a brand new home.

Dalton, 10 and Wyatt, 8, have a rare chromosome disorder called Translocation Chromosomal 15. It affects every organ in their bodies. Neither child can speak, eat, but they have learned to walk, run and play.

They have outgrown their home and storage space for medical supplies has virtually run out.

The American Legion Post 1460 and The Christian Youth Corps have partnered to build a new home. It is right next foor to the First Christian Church on Main Street in Machias. "It's a big operation, a lot of money is needed. We need some people to come out and jump in on board," said Peter Andrews of the CYC.

The boys mother, Vicki said she "never imagined" someone would build a new home for the family.
