(wgrz.com) The Bills auditioned veteran journeyman quarterback Patrick Ramsey in Orchard Park Tuesday, according to ESPN.com and the National Football Post.  The Bills had no comment on the reports.

Ramsey was recently released by the Tennessee Titans, where he was signed to a one-year deal to backup Kerry Collins and Vince Young.  Ramsey has also been a backup with the New York Jets briefly, and the Denver Broncos, where he was Jay Cutler's backup.

The Tulane product was the Washington Redskins first round pick in 2002.  In eight NFL seasons, Ramsey completed 56 percent of his passes for %,930 yards, 35 touchdowns and 30 interceptions for a 74.9 quarterback rating.

The possible signing of Ramsey leads to speculation about how long Bills quarterback Trent Edwards will be out, after Edwards suffered his second concussion in two years against the Jets over a week ago.  Edwards did workout with the Bills on Monday according to coach Dick Jauron, but he has already been ruled out against the Houston Texans this Sunday at Ralph Wilson stadium.  Ryan Fitzpatrick will make his second straight start at qb for the Bills.
