Police say a woman managed to break free from a potential abductor after spotting a stopped patrol vehicle. A police sergeant in Jamestown, N.Y., was in his patrol car early Saturday morning when the woman ran toward the car yelling for help. The 21-year-old woman told police a gunman had grabbed her on her way to work, held her arm and stuck his gun in her side as he directed her toward an old train substation. Police said the ordeal lasted about 15 minutes before she spotted the patrol car and made a break for it. A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with kidnapping.
