The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office is looking for information that could help identify skeletal remains found on the shore of the Allegheny Reservoir in the Town of South Valley on September 26, 2009.

A forensic examination determined the remain are of a woman between the ages of 25 to 45. She was between 5'1" and 5'8" tall, and weighed 105-125 pounds.

The examination also found evidence of a healed fracture in one rib, and a fractured left tibia.

The sheriff's office says the body may have been in the water for one to five years.

One winter boot was also found with the body. The sheriff's office says it was a left boot, size 6. The boot is made of tan suede, fleeced lined, and embroidered with red, white and blue flowers and a green leaf.

Anyone who has information about the identity of this person is asked to contact the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office at 716-938-9191.
