ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Linebacker Alvin Bowen is back with Buffalo Bills, one of eight players placed on the practice squad a day after being released by the team. Bowen rejoined the Bills on Sunday, when the team began to prepare for its season-opener at New England on Sept. 14.

Buffalo's 2008 fifth-round draft pick, Bowen missed his entire rookie season with a knee injury and failed to win a backup spot this summer.

Rounding out the practice squad are players who were also among the 18 released Saturday. They are running back Bruce Hall, defensive back Cary Harris, offensive lineman Nick Hennessey, tight end Jonathan Stupar, defensive lineman Corey Mace and receivers C.J. Hawthorne and Felton Huggins.
