Severe storms left plenty of damage across WNY.
A strong line of storms crossed the area this Sunday afternoon. Gusty winds, heavy downpours, numorous cloud to ground lightning strikes and hail moved from Niagara County to Potter County between Noon and 3:30pm.
The line of storms lasted about an hour in any one location with calmer weather immediately following the storms.
According to National Grid, there are about 1,000 homes without power in Western New York after the second round of storms went through the area on Sunday night. The hardest hit areas are in Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
The company says restoration efforts will continue overnight and into Tuesday, pending anymore storms moving through the area. Crews from other upstate regions are assisting in the effort to get everyone's power back on.

New York State Electric and Gas reports about 320 of their customers remain without power. Most of those are in the Cherry Creek area with scattered outages in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and southern Erie counties. NYSEG hopes all customers will have their electricity back by the end of the day.

The National Weather Service is reporting, numorous trees and power lines down in the Hinsdale/ Ashford area of Cattaraugus County.
Jamestown and the Lakewood areas are reporting widespread flooding and road closures.
Within the second line of severe storms later Sunday evening more storm damage was reported from downed trees and power lines to major flooding.
