A safety official was struck by a demolition derby car on Saturday night at the Genesee County Fairgrounds in the Town of Batavia.
David W. Connors, 64, was immediately treated by City of Batavia Fire Department Medics on scene and personnel from the Elba and Stafford Fire Departments.
He was eventually stabilized and transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital's intensive care unit, where he is currently in guarded condition.
There is a continuing investigation from members of the Genesee county Sheriff's department, including members of the Crash Management Team.
