The Buffalo Bandits beat Rochester 13-to-9 Friday night at HSBC Arena. That means Buffalo will host a Divisional semi-final playoff game on the weekend of May 1. The Bandits can clinch the East Division with a win Saturday in New York against the Titans. Friday's win clinched at least a second place for Buffalo.
More than 17-thousand fans saw Buffalo beat their one time nemisis, Rochester. Buffalo led 8-7 going into the fourth quarter but the Bandits outscored the Knighthawks 5 to 2 in the final frame to win going away.
Mike Accursi and Roger Vyse each had three goals and an assist for the Bandits. Ken Montour stopped 52 of the 61 shots he faced.
The Bandits are at New York tomorrow night.
