A missing six-year-old boy has been found safe. The boy was reported missing Thursday morning by his mother.

He was last seen with 30-year-old John Mrozek, his mother's boyfriend.

State Police tell 2 On Your Side the boy's mom left him with Mrozek before she went to work at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say the mother made several attempts to contact Mrozek Wednesday night without any success; and, by the time she got home, the two were gone.

The boy was found by Investigator Daniel Strozyk, who saw Mr. Mrozek's truck at Broadway and Memorial in the City of Buffalo.

The boy was in the pick up truck with Mrozek.

State Police say the six-year-old appears to be in good condition and that he has been taken to Children's Hospital for an evaluation.

Mrozek was taken to the State Police station in Boston for questioning and charges are pending.

"We have strong feelings that it's near record temps last night, to have a child out of the house away from his mother, pull him out of school for this long a period of a time, this fits endangering the welfare of a child, minimally," Captain Steve Nigrelli said.

The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services had issued a Missing Child Alert for the boy on Thursday morning.
