Funeral arrangements for Amanda Hansen - the West Seneca teenager who died Saturday from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning - are set.

Hansen's parents have planned services for their daughter on Tuesday, January 20, from 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon and from 7:00 to 9:00 in the evening at Cusack Funeral Home, located at 250 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca.

A meeting for family and friends is planned for 12:30 Wednesday afternoon at Queen of Heaven Church.

West Seneca Police were called to 166 Windmill Road just after 8:30 Saturday morning, where they found Hansen and her friend Devon Sharvan unconscious in the basement.

Both girls were taken to South Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Hansen was pronounced dead shortly before 10:00.

Lieutenant David Szmania says three other members of the Sharvan family - Borys, 55; Diane, 45; and Alexander, 13 - were also taken to South Buffalo Mercy Hospital to be treated for feelings of dizziness.

National Fuel Gas crews inspected the house and detected high levels of carbon monoxide in the basement where the girls had been sleeping, Szmania said.

The Sharvans were treated and are expected to recover.

Hansen's parents tell 2 On Your Side their daughter excelled in school and sports. She was on the Honor Roll and the West Seneca West swim team. She aspired to become a teacher.
