Getting Help For Finances

Thousands of Americans have lost their home after taking on loans they simply could not afford.

Now, there are several local groups who want you to know they can help if you are in trouble.

One of them is the Buffalo Urban League. Their focus is educating new homeowners so they don't get in too deep.

"One of the things you will find is you get flooded with credit applications," says Brenda Williams-McDuffie, Buffalo Urban League. "Before you know it, you are in a lot of debt. A lot of people will then take out a second mortgage, as a result of that, we want to make sure people are educated."
