
The first CAID, "Crusade Against Impaired Driving," softball tournament was held at Sunshine Park in West Seneca on Saturday.
CAID raises money and awareness about the dangers of drunk driving.
The organization was started in honor of Karen Kwiatkowski who was killed by a drunk driver ten years ago. "As a result of that incident, I have been very focused on reducing the deaths on the roads because of drunk drivers," said Karen's sister Deanna Russo.
CAID members go to area schools to educate students about the dangers of drunk driving.
Saturday afternoon the organization raised about $3,000.
