The Gateway Park Concert Series in North Tonanwanda will finish it's season without alcohol sales after state liquor authorities pulled their alcohol permit.

North Tonawanda Police tell 2 On Your Side during a routine underage drinking compliance check, two concert employees served alcohol to minors without checking their ID's.

State Liquor Authorities released a statement: "two underage concert goers bought beverage tickets at the concert without presenting identificiation. The two minors also did not receive wristbands that designate the ability to purchase alcohol. When the minors presented their beverage tickets to concert employees, they were never asked for ID, nor were they asked about the whereabouts of their wristbands."

The New York State Liquor Authority showed up Saturday as a Grateful Dead cover band played, and revoked the concert promoters alcohol permit effectively immediately.

Witnesses say some concert-goers immediately ran to nearby stores to purchase alcohol.

The New York State Liquor Authority confirms that alcohol will not allowed to be sold at the remaining three, Saturday evening concerts.

The Gateway Concert series continues this Saturday at 6:00 PM when Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers take the stage.
