JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- Eric Chant, who admitted to kidnapping and raping a 12-year-old girl, was sentenced to 25 years in prison and 20 years probation for the abduction and sexual assault.
In August of 2011, Chant stole a van from a dealership and then took the girl from her home. He drove her to a remote location, where he attacked her. But fortunately she was able to run away.
Chant was arrested ten days later.
