FORESTVILLE, NY - A boil water order for the Village of Forestville has been lifted.
Follow-up water samples collected Thursday from the Village water system have shown that the water does not contain potentially harmful bacteria and is safe for drinking and cooking.
A routine water sample taken Tuesday showed levels of potentially harmful bacteria. As a precaution, residents were asked to boil all water to be used for cooking or drinking.
