BUFFALO, NY - Something experts have been warning about for the past week is here. A big jump in the price at the pump can be seen throughout Western New York. The national average went up $.03 overnight.
Some stations in Western New York are now charging more than $4.00 a gallon. We found a station in Kenmore that is charging $4.05 a gallon. The cash discount price is $3.95.
Other gas stations we spotted are charging $3.95 and even $3.99.
It's a hot topic on the campaign trail and something the president even touched on in his weekly address.
AAA says the average price for a gallon of gas is $3.89 in Western New York. Last week, it was $3.82.
The price of gas has gone up $.24 per gallon in the past month.
