BUFFALO, NY-- Some folks dared to go bare in South Buffalo Wednesday night for a local organization that benefits WNY families.
Child and Family Services hosted their first annual Shave It Off event this year at Corto's Salon in South Buffalo.
Professional stylists were on hand to shave or trim beards for charity at no charge. Men's haircuts were reduced to $10 during the event, and 50% of all proceeds will be donated to C&F Services.
Child and Family Services started their charity event, No Shave November, to help raise money for women, children and families in need.
Participants, only during the month of November, could either join a team or start their own to raise contributions, and were eligible to win additional prizes for different increments of the funds raised.
