State Decision Could Cost 40 Buffalo Jobs

BUFFALO, NY - County and state officials are calling on Governor Andrew Cuomo to step in and save a few dozen jobs on the east side.

They're railing against a decision by the state health department that takes a federal Medicaid contract away from the Center for Transportation Excellence (CTE) on East Amherst Street.

They say it would cost the business 40 jobs in a neighborhood that's already struggling economically, and it would waste the millions of dollars in Medicaid savings that the CTE has created for New York and Erie County.

And they want the governor to reverse the decision.
