TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. -- A Town of Tonawanda woman is facing numerous charges after a neighborhood was forced to 'shelter in place' Sunday afternoon.
Police asked that residents in the area of Ritchie Avenue stay indoors while they investigated a report of shots fired. Patrols arriving on scene found a car window had been shot out.
Angela Baughman, 36, of Ritchie Avenue is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Prohibited Use of a Weapon, Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Mischief, all felonies.
Police recovered a .12 gauge shotgun they believe was used in the crime. Baughman was arraigned and sent to the Erie Co. Holding Center on $10,000 bail. She's due back in town court on Thursday.
Ritchie Ave. was blocked off at Kenmore Ave. while police and EMS vehicles were on the scene.
