10-Person Pedal Bike And Car Collide

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Several people were injured Sunday in an accident that involved a Buffalo Pedal Tour trolley and a truck near Canalside.

Buffalo police say the incident happened at 7:20 p.m. at 1 Naval Park.

A witness said he saw a red truck pull out in front of the Pedal Tour and abruptly stop.

The witness who said he is a local pastor, Joseph Bonds, said the Pedal Tour trolley could not stop fast enough and it crashed into the red truck in front. He added that he saw three women fall off of the bike and roll under the Pedal Tour vehicle, where they were hurt.

All three women were transported from the scene by ambulance, Bonds said.

Buffalo police said Monday the trolley had 10 people aboard and the injuries were minor.
