Buffalo, N.Y. - It was a special day for a distinguished soldier who received a service dog.
Cpt. Miranda Hulse was given her service dog, Bolt, by the Rebuilding Warriors organization. The group is a non-profit that was formed in 2013, and provides service and companion dogs to veterans that are diagnosed as amputees as well as suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI ( Traumatic Brain Injury).
"It's great. Its a good confidence booster going out in public and just having a battle buddy with you all the time," said Cpt. Hulse.
The group will match 18 dogs this year with deserving veterans.
