BUFFALO, NY-- The Buffalo School District is warning parents after a 14-year-old girl was approached by a man in a van.
In a letter sent home to parents Thursday, officials say Buffalo Police are investigating a complaint about a young girl approached by a man in red minivan at Court and Pearl Streets. He allegedly asked the girl to talk to him and get into the van. He followed her to Huron Street before driving away.
The subject is described as a black man with short black hair, wearing glasses and a short sleeved shirt. He appears to be in his early to mid-30, chubby in appearance.
School officials remind parents to talk to their children and remind them to avoid strangers.
