HAMBURG, NY - A dangerous stretch of roadway in the Southtowns will be the focus of a meeting on Monday.
We're talking about a stretch of Southwestern Boulevard, Route 20, in Hamburg between Amsdell Road and Pleasant Avenue.
A deadly accident there last summer inspired residents to request something be done about making it safer.
The state Department of Transportation is asking for input.
Assemblyman Sean Ryan told 2 On Your Side: "What the residents would really like is a dedicated turning lane so you don't have a fear of being rear-ended when you go to make your turn. A turning lane is something we'd like to see as part of this study."
The meeting takes place on Monday at 5 p.m. at The Villas at Brierwood. It is open to the public.
