BUFFALO, N.Y. - Police are investigating two weekend shootings, one of which left a man in critical condition.
The first happened Saturday around 9:15 p.m. near East Ferry and Carl Streets. Detectives say a 25-year-old Cheektowaga man was shot. He was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center and was treated and released.
A second shooting happened Saturday shortly before midnight. A 19-year-old Buffalo man was shot and taken to ECMC in a private vehicle.
Officers responded to ECMC and began investigating. They determined the shooting happened on East End Avenue between East Delavan and Lang Avenues.
The man is in critical condition.
