BUFFALO - We may not know yet when the gigantic factory in South Buffalo will begin producing solar panels, but we do know this: they are hiring!
For the third time this month, Panasonic will be hold a job fair, looking to hire people for the $750-million-plus plant state government has been building for the business partnership of Panasonic and Tesla.
Earlier this month, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown was urging people looking for work to turn out for the job fairs.
"Panasonic will be filling 300 jobs," he said. "The expectation is that 150 of these jobs will be filled by the end of August.”
Another 150-workers are to be added by year's end.
Wednesday, July 26th, Panasonic is holding what it calls a "hiring event" at the Buffalo Education & Training Center at 77 Goodell in Buffalo. That's at the corner of Goodell and Ellicott.
The job fair runs from 5:30 to 8:00pm. There's a wide range of positions Panasonic is looking to hire for, from accounting to stockroom clerks.
