AMHERST, NY – Selflessly donating ones time to others is the greatest reward there is. It allows you to impact others in a profound and unique way that is only understood by living it, and 20 year old Adrianna Rolling is one of those individuals.
Rolling was a contestant in the pageant in 2008 and enjoyed her time with the organization so much that she came back to the program in 2009 to turn the table and give back to others.
"While with the program I learned so much about myself" Rolling said. "Not only have I gained friends, but most importantly, confidence! The Young Miss Buffalo Pageant helped me to mold and shape the woman I am today."
In her written entry Rollings wrote:
"I now give back to the program because I want to share my story and experience with other young ladies coming into the program and help them become their best selves, which is what the program is all about! I want to teach them that it is ok to follow their dreams, encourage them when they feel like giving up or when they feel like things are too difficult. When I am helping out with the program, I do share my experiences I had with the program to the ladies, helping them prefect their talents, helping out with the workshops and pageant day.
I believe I should be chosen as the monthly winner because I have so much to give and share. Especially to the young ladies in the community that might be going down the wrong path. That one person just might need someone to guide them along the way and my story might change their mind set on life."
It is this spirit and this impact on others that Bryant & Stratton College and WGRZ-TV have named Adrianna Rolling the final winner in The Great Give Back 2013. Bryant & Stratton College has also graciously donated $1,000 to the Young Miss Buffalo Pageant.
