Shooting Near UB's South Campus

AMHERST, N.Y. -- One person was injured during a shooting near UB's South Campus late Saturday night.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. in the parking lot of University Plaza on Main Street.

According to police, a large group of people were fighting, and multiple shots were fired. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooter has not been arrested. He is described by police as a black male last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.
