Police: Motorcyclist hit after vehicle runs red light

CITY OF TONAWANDA, NY — A motorcyclist was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Twin City Highway and Young Street on Saturday after a driver allegedly ran a red light, according to City of Tonawanda Police.

The motorcyclist, 35-year-old Christian R Granata of Buffalo, was taken to ECMC by ambulance for treatment on shoulder and ankle injuries. 

Granata was traveling north on Twin City Highway when he was struck by Suzannhe Hartman of Tonawanda, who was traveling eastbound on Young Street crossing the intersection.

Hartman was issued a summons for passing a red light. She was not injured.
